Page 3 of Super Powered Extraordinary Dynamos (SPED) The Story of Ethan Moore

Here is page 3 of the story! I hope everyone is enjoying this as much as I am creating it. If you like it, let me know what you think on Facebook. If you have any ideas that are marinating in your brain for the story or other things, let me know! Thanks for reading! Now on to page 3.

Lynn and Dave go into Ethan' s room.

Ethan is sitting on the ceiling and his T.V. isn't plugged into the wall but flickering with action and sound.

His parents freak out and fall back against the door. Lynn is overwhelmed by the sight and passes out. Dave looks on in amazement mixed with awed fright.

Lynn awakes in a droggy panic with her hands on her head.

Ethan isn't even aware of them in the room. He keeps interacting with his game.

“How, how, how is this possible.. what, what the heck, oh my, oh my, I can't, I can't!” Lynn

“This isn't real. This isn't happening.. how can this, I mean, what could, no way, holy crap!” Dave

“Oh David... what do we do... who do we tell, how does Ethan understand the capacity of this? This is normal to him. What if this gets out to the public because of those aides? Our son will be dissected in a government lab. We will lose him!” Lynn

“Breathe Lynn, stop and breathe, there is always an answer. We will get through this and understand just like we did with Ethan before knowing this!” Dave

“How can we?! It isn't like his autism will mask something this unexplainable! How much bigger can the arrow over his head be letting all know he is different?! There is no solution to this. There isn't an answer! We will have to keep him locked up under house arrest. That is the only way he will be safe!” Lynn

“We can't do that. He won't gain anything just held up in here. We still have the meeting with the Stockwell Prodigy Center. We have been on the waiting list for 2 years. This place will give him social skills and help we never imagined. Whatever this is, he is still our son. The crazy ceiling sitter and all, we keep living. So we freaking settle ourselves down and get our minds set for tomorrow!” Dave

“I don't know Dave. I'm scared! This is just too much. Autism I finally got adjusted to, but super-powered autism” Lynn
...(she just starts crying.) Dad holds mom

Dave stands up  and walks out of the room. He comes back with a can of  grape soda for Ethan.

“Ethan, do you want a can of grape soda and a bag of chips?” Dave

Ethan stops playing his game and stares at the soda and chips. The T.V. turns off and he floats down to the floor with the T.V. still on the ceiling. Ethan takes the goodies and walks over to his bed. He sits, eats ,and drinks his soda while rocking back and forth. He finishes his goodies and lies down in bed. Mom and dad stare at him, speechless.

Without touching any of the switches, Ethan turns off the lights with his parents still in the room. He belches and says, “Grape, yea grape soda.”

Page 1 & 2 of Super Powered Extraordinary Dynamos

Here are pages one and two of my story. You will meet the Moore family of Dave, Lynn, and Ethan. Ethan is a boy with autism. Dave and Lynn are working their lives through with help of numerous teachers and aides, but always feel like they aren't getting anywhere. They will never give up on their son, but things are about to change when life takes a new turn.

Ethan Moore - our main character
Lynn Moore- Ethan's mom
Dave Moore- Ethan's dad
General Warbird- video game character

Sometimes the mightiest heroes are the ones that you never expect them to be. They are labeled for how they look and how they act but never viewed as the hope we need! Why would such extraordinary powers be bestowed upon individuals that can't always control themselves? Fate never lets us in on its plans, but it always runs its course if we like it or not. This is the beginning of a story of many that were chosen to overcome their own dilemmas and the ones that are created by an evil they have never experienced... even in their own minds.

“Well there goes another one.” Lynn

“Are you serious Lynn? That is eight aides in the last two months! What was this one’s excuse? Dave

“He said that Ethan was taking a break from his school work and was playing his video game.” Lynn

“What so weird about that? He likes his games and it helps him stay calm. “ Dave

“He was playing the game without holding the controller. “ Lynn

“There are game systems like that.” Dave

“He was sitting on the ceiling, we don't have a game system like that and I put his controller in the closet last night so he wouldn't play all night. “ Lynn

“He was probably just exaggerating like all the others. Not something that happens everyday now is it. We know Ethan is special, but come on, really... sitting on the ceiling... good one! He has autism, he isn't Captain Superpowers!” Dave

“I know Dave, but we better go see if Ethan is alright.” Lynn

“Alright, but he isn't going to even realize what we are talking about. He will be sprawled out on his beanbag chair without a care in the world, taking something apart.” Dave

Lynn+ Dave go upstairs.

Talking from inside the room... “General Warbird, do you think we will be able to take out the Doom Low army’s frontline?”  Ethan

“With you on the controls Ethan.. I think the victory is ours! “ General Warbird

“Who the heck is he talking to? Did you let a friend come over?” Dave

“No, just the aide that high-tailed it out of here.” Lynn

“I hope he isn't mimicking a new behavior from school. I don't have time to deal with another one!” Dave

“The first line of Doom Low soldiers was nothing for the Helix Brigade General Warbird.” Ethan

“Keep throwing everything you got at them Ethan, deploy the Aerial Banshee.” General Warbird

The Beginning

I once was one of the cynics that made fun of blogging. When you aren't used to something, the easiest way to deal with it is to pick it apart. It probably was more of the fact that I am not a solid writer and grammar isn't my best subject. I always encouraged my wife to make a blog due to the fact that she is a human dictionary, grammar machine from the planet English. She is just stellar in that field and I am thankful that I was blessed to marry into sounding smarter when I write.
So after reading her awesome blogadeering, I thought this would be an awesome means to share the things that I create. I am 31 years old and still imagine/explore like I was 13. I love writing songs, writing short books/stories, and I have come into creating a comic book/story that I would love to share with as many as I can. Some know that I am a special education teacher and I fused my love for that with comic books to create my own superhero crew. I decided to create a superhero kid that has autism. He has powers that finally have come about, but it seems all normal to him. What really is normal to him though? This we come to learn over time. This is only the start of our lead character and the ones that come to follow as his team comes together to create the SUPER POWERED EXTRAORDINARY DYNAMOS (SPED) to fight the evils of their archenemy Disorder. I look forward to sharing this story and many others with all the lovers of dreaming. Soon to come will be the first page of the story. More than likely today! HA! Enough for now! That is the extent that I like to type. See you soon!
